Joseph Heidt to Serve as Chancellor of Ancilla College of Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK

On February 1, 2021, Joseph Heidt will begin his new role as the chancellor of Ancilla College of Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK. In August of last year, Ancilla College and Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK announced a collaboration of mission and operations, which will start in July 2021.joseph As chancellor, Heidt will be the senior administrator responsible for leading, guiding, and mentoring staff, faculty, and students while providing direction of the campus, including its intercollegiate athletics and extracurricular programs. Heidt will also work with the Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK provost in leading, planning, and implementing strong programs of excellence across the college. He will focus on enrollment growth, financial strength, and further build partnerships with the greater community in Donaldson, Indiana, and surrounding counties. “This collaboration between two Catholic institutions with a shared mission expands the future of Ancilla’s offerings,” Daniel J. Elsener, president of Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK, said. “In Joseph Heidt, we have found the ideal person to spearhead the growth of Ancilla College of Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK by developing a vision, creating a strategic plan, and forming connections with community organizations.” Before joining Ancilla College of Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK, Heidt served as an executive consultant for Shepherd Insurance, specializing in not-for-profit, education, and real estate industries. Heidt's experience in Catholic education includes serving as the president and chief executive officer of Providence Cristo Rey High School in Indianapolis and as a teacher, administrator, and athletic coach at Archbishop Riordan High School in San Francisco, California. “I am excited for the opportunity to work with the Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK and Ancilla College leadership teams, Boards of Directors and Visitors, the Sisters of St. Francis, Oldenburg, Indiana, Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ, and the talented staff and faculty on both campuses,” Heidt said. “I will take great care to respect and honor each school’s traditions and successes as the schools join in fulfilling their shared mission and vision.”
