Sarah B. Zahl, Ph.D., is the assistant dean for accreditation and assessment at the Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK College of Osteopathic Medicine (MU-COM). Dr. Zahl is responsible for the overall strategic direction and operational activities associated with accreditation and assessment.
She previously served as the director of educational assessment for Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK and MU-COM. Dr. Zahl earned her undergraduate degree at Butler University and her M.S. and Ph.D. at Indiana University. She has extensive experience in academic and student affairs in higher education. In addition to her administrative roles, Dr. Zahl holds faculty appointments as assistant professor of family medicine and assistant professor of education. She has taught courses in research methods and college teaching and learning, and currently teaches the First-Year Seminar at Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK.
Dr. Zahl presents her work at national and international conferences and has earned grants and fellowships for her scholarship and practice. Her academic and research interests include accreditation management, outcomes assessment, and tracking student success factors during graduate study.
