From your first day, you will work with theatre professionals who work with many of the top companies in our city, state, and region.

What are your career paths?

Earning a B.A. in theatre will prepare you to be part of the next generation of artists producing theatre, television, film, and new media. It also provides you with skills that can be applied in virtually any career that calls for:

  • Good communication skills, including writing and public speaking Theatre
  • Problem-solving skills like resourcefulness, versatility, and flexibility
  • Collaboration, cooperation, and teamwork
  • Creativity and critical thinking, especially in ways that may seem unconventional
  • Initiative, meeting deadlines, filling seats, and selling out performances
  • A can-do, positive, and “the show must go on” attitude

So in addition to possible careers as an actor, director, producer, designer, technician, or any other artistic role within theatre or film, you can also consider a double major or theatre major with a specific minor to consider these other career options:
